Apple Academic Press Plans New Book on Food Allergies for Restaurant Managers


Dr. Mahmood Khan, senior editor in hospitality/tourism for Apple Academic Press, invites
faculty and professionals to contribute to his forthcoming new handbook on food allergies for restaurant managers, to be published by Apple Academic Press. Tentatively titled Handbook of Food Allergies for Restaurant Managers, this handbook will be designed as a reference book for professionals at restaurants, cafeterias, dining halls, cafes, diners, fastfood establishments, and more. According to a study released in 2013 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, food allergies among children increased approximately 50% between 1997 and 2011. The number of people who have a food allergy is growing, but there is no clear answer as to why. This volume addresses this important topic from the restaurant manager’s point of view.

  2. This is quite an awesome idea fro restaurant managers to be aware of foods that bear allergens this has been quite a debatable topic in most dining locations thanks Dr Mahmood i'm sure most restaurants will thank you for this.

  4. Hello. I believe that this book really should be in restaurants, cafes, etc. And, I think, it would be nice to train waiters to provide first aid. I, as an essay writer help a student write about this in an essay.
    After all, many people have something to do with an allergy. Someone it seasonal, for example, the flowering of a plant. Others have a constant. It can be an allergy to some kind of material from which a thing is sewn or a product.
    The worst thing is when a person does not suspect that he is allergic to something. Or eat something, but do not know that there is an undesirable product there. And then, eating a dish can cause anaphylactic shock. T. when a person needs emergency medical assistance ...
